This Miracle Project took: 400 men to build, 90 percent dynamite was used to sculptor, 10 percent by hand, required 400 drills per day to drill into Granite, 14 years to build and which only 6 and half years of work, due to many set backs, project had 9 changes in the design due to Granite Mountain problems and the Designer/Sculptor died before it was finished. It was completed in 1941 and which it began in 1927 for which was a 14 year Major Accomplishment for the Simple Idea of Bringing In Tourism into the Black Hills of South Dakota. • I visited Mount Rushmore 25 years ago. They would play the video on the tv channel at the hotel over and over, each ,for tourists who were visiting. It was pretty fascinating to watch this. How on earth did they know where to begin is beyond me. A definite wonder of our world...really worth going to see! Great video.

• Depends on what generation you're talking about really. I come from the age of space exploration, I was 6 yrs old when neil armstrong took his 1st steps on the moon. My generation ushered in advanced computing languages, we pushed the limits of science so as to have allowed us to now create a space station for research. It's always a higher draw for the next generations' effort, having to build upon the greatness of the previous one's but it also gives great hope for we have yet failed (cont)
